Why this business was started

I decided to start this store because I love racing and wanted to be a bigger part of it. I wanted to create more influence in the sport and help enthusiasts get in and work on their dream. Originally the goal was to get into a shop and build customers cars up. Several of the items are geared towards the offseason and helping drivers become better outside of the car. The ability to obtain discounted parts was also a big influence in starting this store.

The reason of selling this business

The reason I am selling the store is that I am spread too thin. Between my normal 9-5, my spouse, racing, and running another company this store just doesn't get the love it needs to get bigger. The store has been profitable bringing in a few hundred dollars extra a month. I loved this store and if my circumstances were different, I'd be keeping it. I just don't have the time.

What's involved in running this business

Generally speaking, talking with inbound customer calls to help them decide what will fit there car the best, there are apps that can make this less of a likely occurrence. In the next couple months I was going to integrate this. Besides that, processing orders through the various suppliers. All products currently drop ship. So, no inventory handling or shipping orders out of your warehouse. You'll want to create content for the Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram pages. Facebook has over 10k followers.

Other details about profit: There is a ton of room to grow here, especially with conversion rate. Profits range from 20-50%. Many of the wheels have a few hundred dollars per wheel in profit. Adding Turbos to the site would be good as they have closer to 50% as well.

    How to grow this business

    Advertise Brembo, add turbos and other larger profit items. I would also open a shop to add installs to the mix. After the shop is available, I would buy from Longacre for tire pyrometers and create a series on how tires are the most important item and how they determine what is wrong with your setup. Tires, if you are unfamiliar, will tell you what suspension adjustments to make based on tire temperatures.
