Why this business was started

I simply had a product idea and I love creating/developing things in general. The idea came because I am myself a user of sport backpacks and saw an issue by having too many backpacks for all my sports at home. Thus the idea of a modular concept to reduce the total amount of backpacks needed. It was also a perfect timing as I was fairly bored and annoyed by my work at Kiska. So I decided to take the jump and start a new adventure.

I am more a creator/developer than a business man. I want to focus on starting things and developing new products from scratch rather than optimizing and growing a business.

    I would focus on very good good marketing/sales tasks for the next years to secure Impetro Gear brand place within the market. And I would improve product positioning (more main stream and less extreme) to fit better market and customers demands.

    Sales and marketing are a must, as well as branding basic knowledge. Of course, having some knowledge of the sport market and about sport product is also important.

    I studied mechanical engineering, and graduated in 2015 (Diplom Engineer). I started working at Decathlon in France as a product engineer/developer for sports equipment. I then moved to Austria and worked in a design Agency (Kiska GmbH) as project manager. I developed Impetro Gear in parallel to my work at Kiska, and then quit Kiska to be full time 1 year on Impetro Gear to launch the business. Since March 2020 I am working as a product manager in a sports company in Austria, on top of managing Impetro Gear on the side.
