Why this business was started

I started this business because after being a pro basketball player for 7 years and making a lot of money I got very arrogant and tried to take on the IRS. I did, and failed. I failed so badly that I spent 5 years in prison for my altercation and it was their I saw how terrible the nutrition was inside and started making protein bars that I brought from the Inside-Out when I was released. I hired people with a criminal record to give them jobs and out entire supply chain has open hire policies. This company is an example of people with records that are working towards rebuilding their lives and being healthy from the Inside-Out.

The reason of selling this business

I started working at a Y combinator company that is a national employment platform for people with criminal records since I now see the need for jobs for people with records. Im unable to do both.

What's involved in running this business

Managing online relationships and expanding market reach- Amazon, website sales, swag sales, etc. Continuing progress on selling these pre+probiotic protein bars into prison commissaries nationwide. Those relationships and revenue channels are also part of the deal, and are making a true impact in brining healthy food into prison! I would also be willing to be involved in promotion and speaking on behalf of the company, and have an interest in staying on the advisory board/committee if new owner would like.

Other details about profit: These revenue numbers are much lower than actual so this valuation is a great deal. Our annual revenue was $25,000 and was just scratching the surface of what can be accomplished. We sold product outside the store to prisons, and retail locations as well as non-profits. Different channels have different profit margins, but online we were selling bars for an average of $3.29 a bar and make the bars for $.93 all in- a 72% margin.
