General description

I started this business with my sister around 1.5 years ago. I saw a niche in the market for womens customized shoes and luxury shoes that dont have a huge price tag. So I started to customize the shoes myself and share them on social media. Once I saw that there was a need I then decided to scale the brand and I have built a solid social media following of over 38,000 instagram followers and 10,000 facebook fans.

The designs are all ours and this business I feel would suit someone with connections to manufacturers who can follow the handprint of the brand and produce the designs.

I hold a small amount of inventory at our unit based near london, we essentially carry the base shoes here and then we make the designs to order once we receive orders online.

In terms of marketing we advertise through social media and do paid adverts on instagram which we can support the buyer with but it is very straight forward. Instagram essentially does the targeting for us.

We have build up a good customer base and we get repeat orders from our customers. Our mail list is around 3000 customers now.

I am looking to sell the business because I feel I have taken it as far as I can. I feel it needs someone with capital to invest in things like packaging and also connections with manufacturers who will work with them to make the designs.

The store has HUGE potential that is clear from my sales to date. I also feel we have hit a niche in the womens shoe market, there is huge demand for customized products and with some investment in the website this customized element could really catapult the business to the next level.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Website - I feel the website could do with a professional makeover - I did the current version myself

Photography - I think better images of the products would definatley increase sales

Manufacturer - I think a good manufacturer who would work with the new owner would really help as it is very time consuming doing the shoes and its not a scalable model without a manufacturer in place

Packaging - Better packaging is also needed as currently we use the wholesalers branded boxes
