Why this business was started
I started my own record label and I needed an online platform to sell my merch because selling it at shows consumed too much time and energy. I also love graphic art and design so initially I designed my own merch and put out new material weekly. Now my fan base has grown significantly and I have a steady stream of orders on this [REDACTED] store (the one that I'm putting up for sale here). Ultimately, this store was built to satisfy customer/fan requests to sell merch and it has been growing since day one. This store is beginning to require more time and energy than I am willing to afford, which is a good problem to have if you want to turn a profit and have steady business and relationships with customer and supporters.
The reason of selling this business
I have decided to sell this business ([REDACTED]) to focus on my record label. Note: I am not selling my record label. I can no longer manage it all and the thought of hiring more people to help me run this business doesn't sit well with me, I'd rather sell it in its entirety and let someone new take over. Around the holidays we get flooded with orders, which is a great thing! The challenge here is that this business ([REDACTED]) needs someone's full time attention (perhaps a team) and I'd like to invest my energy into a new project. I put minimal hours into this store and often imagine the profitability if someone were to double down and put more time and investment into it. I started it with practically zero investment and have now launched a potential enterprise.
What's involved in running this business
I put in an average of 1-2 hours per day to currently run this business. I check my orders, I track shipping for some customers, and import new merch or find alternatives, I create header and welcome messages on my site, and that's about it. I often imagine how this business would scale if I hired more help, but currently the only outsourcing I do is sometimes I'll have an artist from Fiverr design something for me or I'll employ the Shopify App, "KIT" to run ads and/or business reports for me (which is also automated). Like any successful business, the main foundations in running this business are a genuine desire to serve customers and fans with quality products with solid customer service.

How to grow this business
This business is set up for dropshipping and I currently use apps to import products to my store such as Printful and Oberlo. To keep it running profitably, over the next 5 years I suggest importing products from Oberlo or a wholesaler to a local warehouse (such as Printul) so that orders may be fulfilled faster. This store gets a significant amount of organic traffic so the money saved on (not) needing to advertise heavily can be redirected toward the fees associated with having a USA or UK company fulfill orders. I also do a significant amount of business in the UK and Australia so I would reach out to companies there and ship my product(s) to warehouses there, again to speed up overall customer satisfaction. I would also consider adding fitness/boxing gear to this store, which has serious potential for growth and increased profit margins. I might also consider integrating this store with Amazon and/or Walmart.
