During Covid I was looking to start an online business in the automotive industry that was simple to operate, didn't have too many products to deal with, and had good gross profit margins.
The reason of selling this business
I was wanting to start the business as an alternative to my current employment. With the onset of Covid my job security was fast evaporating and I needed continuity of income. Everything is now set up and the 3PL warehouse is ready to roll, but my employers wanted me back and made me a great offer. This business will not take a lot of time to operate but you need to make the effort to do your marketing. From there on it should be a winner.
What's involved in running this business
Running the business will be pretty simple: 1-2 orders per year from 2 x suppliers of exclusively branded products. Fully automated sale process from POS on Shopify, and distribution by 3PL (third party logistics) warehouse. All products are in stock and ready to go. All it needs is some marketing.

Best way of growing the business in my opinion is to establish the brand with consistent advertising, regular posts on Instagram, and establishing page one Google ranking. Products are best available so no work needed there.
Skills to have
The owner should have good marketing skills in order to maximise the businesses potential Preferably some knowledge of Facebook and Instagram marketing in particular. Day to day is pretty much fully automated but you still need a working knowledge of how to run a business.
