Why this business was started

I wanted to show my wife and kids that if you work hard you can accomplish anything. It drove my passion to create a brand that delivered unique products. I was able to show my wife what hard work and creativity could create. We stumbled alot but was able to learn more about eccomerce and grow a passion for digital marketing. This business was our side hustle while we worked full time jobs.

The reason of selling this business

We are looking to expand our family and time has been of the essence. Covid has helped us spend more time as a family and its the perfect time to sell for our family. We are not selling due to poor sales. In May 2020 we currently at $17.7k in sales for the month.

What's involved in running this business

Passion, creativity, and patience. We have alot of designs unreleased and i can train you on how we design and transfer those designs to our products. We have a strong friendship with our manufacturers. We only focused on social media marketing because we had full time jobs. This was a side hustle so we spent an hour a day working on growing the business part time.

Other details about profit: Alot of our profit is reinvested into products and advertising. It is also seasonal so the summer months are very productive. During Nov, Dec, Jan we did 50k plus in sales only using social media. We also have a NZ shop that has done over 40k in sales. We did 14k in sales in one day which was our best day.

    How to grow this business

    We would grow the range using sustainable materials and unique designs focusing on the customer and quality. Our short term success came from our passion for people, our culture and where we come from. Collaboration, social media and influencer marketing will be key for growth. As well as looking for growth through email marketing, fb adds, google ad words and SEO.

    My first email sent to my list was on the 16/5/2020 and made 27 orders.

    Skills to have

    They just need a passion for people. We only used influencer marketing and social media to market and get organic traffic. Someone with great marketing skills would benefit from the foundation we have built. We havent explored our email marketing options and only a little bit of facebook ads so any experience in that would be great.
