Why this business was started

My colleague and myself, were interested to get started on a ecommerce website and dedicate some time to understand how this type of business works. This was our first dropshipping venture and the prospect of having our own business was really exciting for us. It was the fact we could do this and our main jobs which really attracted us to give this ago.

The reason of selling this business

We started this project during a quiet period from our main jobs. The store has been closed as we spent a lot of time finding, developing and researching the market. We revamped everything got new suppliers and put every idea on paper tested and tested over again to see if the feel was right. What you see now is our 80% of our vision. We launched the site focusing on only a few key sectors and found it was slowly working but needed more time to finish and promote the other sectors but thats where time has got the better of us. We have not been able to carry on at the pace we had been running at and therefore have decided to sell as its such a waste just sitting around doing nothing at the moment. Some needs to add the extra 20% to fully flourish and move forward with this.

What's involved in running this business

Fulfilling orders, be active in social media, updating new product from our supplier which we use an 3rd party website to do this, so it's quite straight forward. We believe most of hard work has been done, someone needs to carry on. Dont be fooled its 10 mins a day... at the beginning it will need full focus and dedication but if you ghive it this it will run itself in the long term. Other details about profit: The store has been "under construction" for the best part of 3 months leading up to christmas as we were focusing on the re design of the store and selecting product for the sesonal campaign but due to workload we missed this launch date and so we focused on a new year soft launch. Profit is what we expected in terms of work and social movement which was at a very low lovel and effort. We started with instagram and bloggers and then in parallel Facebook ads. We can reveal which works best in our opinion on purchase.
