Why this business was started

I started Lilly & Lola as a passion project/side hustle.

Have you ever had skin so dry that you needed to re-apply moisturizer all day long? We have. When people start to stare at your skin and wonder what is wrong - that's when we had enough. We scoured the beauty counters to find a solution. Nothing... until we discovered the hydrating effects of coconut oil. And lucky for us, it was also natural! A year in development, we studied all types of coconut oil to identify different properties found in each kind. Important criteria for our formulation: super hydrating, provides protection, lightweight with a high enough viscosity for coverage, and allows for convenient application. Combining serveral different types of coconut oils allowed us to formulate the optimal concoctions for your face, hair, lips and skin.

Coconut oil made us feel more confident about our skin, and we hope it will help you worry less about your skin too.

The reason of selling this business

Shortly after starting Lilly & Lola, I joined a tech startup that required me to shift my focus. It has since become a massive business, and unfortunately I don't have enough time to keep running Lilly & Lola on the side.

What's involved in running this business

Make it as big of small as you'd like!

Fulfill shipments by: mix coconut oil ingredients in bottles using pump systems (can explain in further detail, but generally it's very easy and can be done in small or large batches), apply labels, package and ship.

Re-order ingredients & packaging: will be given some inventory to start, along with costing and information for trusted suppliers.

Marketing: set up Facebook/Instagram ads, post organic content to social media, send samples to influencers, update photography as needed.
