In this time, I have been able to organically grow luft's Instagram following to over 3,500 followers. This was simply done by consistently posting every day and collaborating with influencers in this space; which there are tons. The current product line is primarily minimal iPhone cases in various colors for the iPhone 7, 7+, 8, 8+ and X. In addition the store sells high quality nylon USB-C cables in various colors that come with branded leather straps with magnetic claps for convenient organization. This space has infinite capability of expansion. Different types of cases for iPhones & MacBooks, charging cables for each, screen protectors, etc.

This is a great opportunity for someone to get their feet wet in e-commerce. The brand is a great jump start for those who are interested in selling Apple accessories. I've come to learn that people not just in the US, but around the world are obsessed with Apple products and if you can position an attractive product to what seems like 90% of the population in Western cultures, there is exponential opportunity. Another benefit is the lifecycle of this industry is very quick. Apple releases a new version fo their iPhone every year, which gives opportunity to come out with an entirely new product or slight adjustments that pair with the new version (new case colors, sizes, etc). Not only will you get a brand that has spent a year establishing itself with a following, but my store price includes my entire physical inventory as well. I have priced my inventory below what I sourced it for from China, making this an even more attractive deal. How can the future owner improve the business?

I personally feel that my capabilities from a marketing perspective were not up to par. Someone who has the ability to take better photographs and incorporate videography can step the social media presence up significantly, as well as increase the curb appeal of the website. I feel that this, paired with a better effort to collaborate with influencers could easily drive 25% more in sales without making additional investments in paid advertising or additional inventory.

What work have you put into the store?

I have been the only person involved in the store. I created the logo, built out the Shopify store and ran all media channels. I do have a full time consulting job on the side and another business so this has been 100% a learning opportunity and 'side hustle'. I have dabbled in paid advertising through Facebook & Instagram which I learned a great deal about, but over the last 3-4 months I have almost completely stopped that effort. Not sure what else to say, everything that is luft today is what I have been able to do in a year's time.
