General description

***** Please note from March to early May, I was only using PayPal. I started using Shopify in May so from May 10th to now has been Shopify. So PayPal will show from March to May 10th while Shopify will show from May 10th to now. So there has been $75,000 in revenue total in the past 6 months ($25,953 PayPal March-May + $42,699 Shopify May-now + $6,330 Kickstarter). Asking price calculated from 1.5x revenue + cost of manufacturing tooling and inventory + arbitrary cost of a unique and proprietary product in the perfect position to scale.

***** Also, my sales funnel goes FB>Jambourine sales page>Marlowe store, so the Marlowe store shows 5,000 traffic per month but the Jambourine sales page/website gets around 15,000 per month (see pics).

Hi, my name is Hunter Marlowe. I'm the founder of Marlowe Guitar.

Marlowe Guitar is a guitar accessories online store and the creator of The Jambourine -- the first tambourine for acoustic guitar.

Using Facebook Ads, I have been selling 15 to 30+ products per day worldwide (North America, Europe, Australia) since March 2018. Most (90%+) of the revenue comes from The Jambourine. I ship The Jambourines myself and drop ship all other products from AliExpress.

Included is:

1) Marlowe Shopify store, Jambourine sales page/website, and domains

2) Jambourine manufacturing tooling located in China ($8000 value) + supplier relations

3) 500 Jambourines ($10,000 sale value [$3,530 cost])

4) 3,500 customer email list

5) Social media accounts with 3,000 followers

6) Facebook Ad blueprint/files/videos + testimonial videos

7) My support until you are on your own.

You must have a Business PayPal account to get the international shipping rates I get.

The product is not perfect but it is pretty good. It fits most guitars but it really depends on the person installing it and using it and what kind of guitar they have. Return/refund rates are about 10% to 15%.

Also worth noting... I recently had to turn off the ads for a few days (because of some payment processing delays) and noticed there were still a few sales per day that came in without ads running (Which you would have to sell twice as many with ads running to get the same profit).

Q & A

Why should someone buy this store?

The Jambourine is a proprietary product that guitarists are going nuts over. I've only just tapped the market and there is much room for growth.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Scale Facebook Ads, email campaigns for backend sales, cut inventory costs in half by ordering in bulk, obtain a patent, partner with bigger companies like Guitar Center (retail) or D'Addario (manufacturer/competitor), create different sizes for smaller guitars and ukuleles, etc.

What work have you put into the store?

I am the creator and entrepreneur of this entire venture. I came up with the idea and prototype of The Jambourine my senior year at Middle Tennessee State University. As stated on, I won the 2016 MTSU Business Plan Competition for $7,500 which allowed me to create the manufacturing tool.

Then ran a Kickstarter campaign and met my goal of $6,000 to order my first batch of inventory. The first batch sold pretty slow because I didn't have any selling or digital marketing experience. I first tried to cold call and email independent music stores. I got it into about 20-something stores but because this product requires demonstration, it didn't sell very well.

I then took the year of 2017 to work on my marketing and sales skills and eventually caught traction with Facebook Ads in March 2018, and here I am.

I'm selling this because I've been the Jambourine man for 2 years now and am ready to move on to other things. I've learned a lot from this first successful venture and I believe I can apply that to other ideas of mine.
