This is a fun business to run for someone who wants to work from home, or as a side gig. If you decide not to run with inventory you can basically run your business from anywhere. Even on vacation. Have established accounts with vendors for drop shipping as well as a printing company to create your own wedding and bridal theme designs, fun t-shirts, totes, hats etc. for the wedding party. You design, they print and ship on demand. I started this business because I am chronically ill and can't work a regular job and needed something I could do from home, but have recently acquired work with a company outside my home willing to be flexible in my work schedule. I planned to keep the business on the side, but have ended up working more hours than originally intended, and with my illness can't keep up with both. Inventory is not included in sale price, but some may be negotiated. Includes Shopify Chip and Swipe reader and domain name.

Why should someone buy this store?

This store is fun and easy to run, easy to add product from drop shippers. Established accounts with other vendors supplying inventory, but you can call the shots as to whether or not you want to carry inventory or just do a straight out drop ship business. All of the drop shippers will let you use their photos and their ad copy. Thanks to a stronger economy and higher discretionary incomes, the U.S. wedding industry edged higher to hit $72 billion in revenue in 2016, according to a report by IBISWorld. The average cost of a wedding today is about $26,000. Wedding conventions and shows are also fun to attend with great opportunity for networking. I will let you know what marketing has worked well for me and what to stay away from. There is no outstanding debt on this business. If you are interested in inventory vendors I will supply a list and work with you to transfer accounts to you. There are some great sites that help with creating ads, design, video advertising and stock photos, which I will share if you purchase this business.

How can the future owner improve the business?

A future owner can improve the business by adding their own sense of style. Most brides are in the 18-34 age range and knowing what is current in fashion and design is extremely helpful in deciding which products to add or let go. Knowing some strong influencers, or being one already, being able to write good ad copy, and a sense of cutting edge social media would be helpful in promoting this business. Pressing customers for favorable reviews would probably be helpful - I get lots of positive feedback, but have not asked people a lot to leave reviews. Email is also an area in which I fell short. Getting more email addresses and email marketing would help. Pop up stores coordinated with other wedding vendors would be fun, but something I couldn't do, due to my illness.

What work have you put into the store?

I built this store using the Shopify platform adding over a thousand products, which I move in and out depending on sales, have bought and maintained an inventory, which will not be included in this sale. I created social media accounts that are linked to the store such as: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. I photographed product and created ad copy, advertising, and great relationships with other vendors, wholesalers and customers. I designed the logo. I designed the store using a Shopify theme, chose the name and obtained a private domain. There is an email account and an established shipping company, using a shipping app that integrates seamlessly with Shopify.
