Why this business was started
Thanks to my dream of entrepreneurship, the Mazlickof project was born, which I founded at the end of 2020. The goal was to create an easily sustainable business, generating good margins while having a large customer base and great potential for growth. However, it wasn't just about the business, it was about the product itself and creating the Love brand. Which, in the year since Mazlickof's inception, it has clearly done. Mazlickof is based on a "Print on Demand" model, which is great mainly because of the minimal upfront capital (no need to buy physical product). Each image is produced only after it is paid for. This printing is handled by default either by local printers or by large companies like Prityfy or Printful, which can be easily integrated into Shopify. So the product doesn't even have to pass through your hands. And why pets? Customers are willing to spend as much on their animal companions as they are on themselves or their children.

I need to move on to other challenges. We no longer have the time capacity for Mazlickof and the whole project is suffering unnecessarily.
What's involved in running this business
My main goal was to automate the whole process from order receipt to its processing as much as possible to be able to work normally my 9-5 job. The key thing is well-running and targeted ads for the different seasons. Of course the customer appreciates great product packaging, that's important and I had local employees hired to take care of this. Of course, communication with the illustrators (we will give a contact to our team, they are able to do around 150 orders per day)

This expansion plan is based on a freely available study on the number of registered pet owners.
The goal was to make Mazlickof the number one brand across Europe, where there is minimal competition to date and great potential for scaling.
The use of print centres such as Printfull or Pritify / or local print centres, where it is very easy to negotiate great pricing terms and with an emphasis on the quality of the print or packaging of the jobs themselves. The advantages of using local printers are: * lower printing costs * lower transport costs * faster transport to the customer, who will appreciate this very much.
Domains are already established for expansion: * Mazlickof.de for the German and Austrian markets * Mazlickof.com * We had a completely customized Shopify store created, which is already implemented on the domain mazlickof.de - including a complete translation into German * We had a customized private application created to manage orders and easily inform customers about the status of their order. Everything is connected via API to the CRM system, which is used for the entire project management.
