Why this business was started

My business partner who runs [REDACTED] with me saw this as an opportunity. He created most of the properties and I allowed him to invest. We spent around $5,000 on the website, marketing and inventory and a couple months of work.

The reason of selling this business

We broke even and the business can run with a really simple model on a break even basis. With more work on social media, forums, affiliate marketing and brand ambassadors, this could be something big. But I don't have the time or interest to do all of that, and he doesn't either.

What's involved in running this business

Currently, 2 google ad campaigns and 2 facebook campaigns. Some simple remarketing and prospecting. But I would suggest going with a more social media centric approach.

The ad campaigns are setup to optimize, so google and facebook does the work. There is a huge variation of ad copy, so facebook and google will rotate as they see best. This would take maybe 1 hour to review per month.

You would need to manage inventory. This involves ordering about 50 pieces from the supplier and having it shipped to a fulfilment company. There are plenty integrated with shopify that are easy to use.

Depending on the growth you'd like to see, will determine how much time you put into social media efforts. As it stands there's no more then 2 hours a month required. But it's also not making money, and our ads are not running. So you can switch the ads on if you'd like or take a different approach.

You're essentially buying the digital assets, inventory, and a little bit of proof of concept in the revenue numbers. This business potential was barely explored because it's not something I can focus on.

Other details about profit: The belt costs about $10 to land it in Canada. I would assume this is the same for the USA. Shipping is no more then $10. You can sell these for $79. The numbers above are not a great representation because the avg monthly revenue only accounts for 3 months of active advertising. This business will not generate income without active ad accounts. There were no digital ad marketing expenses outside of the months Jan-March.
