Mini Sands Boutique curates collections of cute and modern luxury children’s clothing, toys, and decor. Country-chic and urban coolness meet comfort. By sourcing our collections from designers around the world, we are able to provide the highest quality and unique products at fair prices. The site utilizes Oberlo for inventory and import features and is a dropship entity. The branding across social media and the website provide for high traffic volumes, in the top 5% of site traffic for sites launched during our launch period(per Shopify stats). We have not utilized paid media to date. Founded in 2018 by loving parents, who after eight years of infertility and loss were blessed with a family. Children are our true happiness.

Where did the name come from? Each year we take our children to the beach and watch them leave footprints in the sand. Time goes fast when they are young. "Mini" for their size, and "Sands," to represent the "sands of time," an everyday reminder to hold and cherish our children.

Why should someone buy this store?

This is a proven startup that has generated traffic and sales without any marketing dollars and purely social media word-of-mouth. The products have been sorted, descriptions cleaned up, and evaluated to ensure the best retail mix by an established owner who currently owns a retail physical location. The navigation and products have been ordered and sorted according to the proper age and gender specifications. The site comes with all graphical/brand assets; including illustrator logo files, URLs(minisandsboutique.com, minisands.net, minisands.co, minisandsboutique.co, minisandsboutique.net & minisands.com, which is a super short and valuable URL), and the Facebook business pages(Instagram does not allow the transfer of accounts so this one will need to be started over by you, we will move forward with changing our existing Instagram account. Also we had 7,935 visitors to the site(the month of August) with the average order value of $56.43. The majority of sales came from the United States, with a distant three way tie for Canada, Australia and the UK. Traffic matches the sales geo-locations. We utilize Mailchimp for a series of abandoned cart emails (the first sent within an hour, the next the following day, and the last three days later). We convert a higher than average number of abandoned carts. The automation between Shopify, Oberlo, and using the Chrome plugins allows for easy ordering. It takes minutes to complete orders, allowing an individual to focus on marketing. We're selling the site to concentrate a second location of my family's existing brick and morter, plus we have three kids.

How can the future owner improve the business?

The site generates net annual sales projections based on August and Sept. 2018 of over $30k per year. A future owner can generate an additional $500 net sales per day by purely improving the existing Instagram, Facebook, introducing Pinterest, and a solid paid media strategy on social media channels. Additional a variety of Shopify apps have been added to the store to increase the sales funnel as well as abandon cart triggers for sales discounts. The apps include a universal sizing chart integrated app, an international currency app which converts the entire site's financial dominations to Euros, AU, and Pounds, mailchimp integration and a couple of others. We also utilize Mailchimp, as previously mentioned, and currently have over 400 unique users and have generate income from abandon cart emails as well as a variety of automated and non-automated emails to users and subscribers with measured orders from these activities.

What work have you put into the store?

We've rebuilt the entire navigation structure, brand identity, brand story, as well as the inventory and retail mix. The largest challenge has been dumping poor performing dropshippers in favor of dropshippers from Aliexpress who have a proven record. We have purged the good from the bad over the last 60 days and have a proven integration of stores and products that ship fast, on time, and offer high quality items. While doing this we've updated all descriptors and positions this site to appeal to Females 26 - 37 who typically shop higher end boutiques. On an average week it takes around 4-6 hours to do social media post and fullfil orders per week. How to grow this business

We would focus on growing our interactions on Instagram, expanded our Facebook marketplace efforts which have not been tapped to this point, and begin a Pinterest account. Our next step would be to introduce the use of a pixel for FB and IG, and allow for re-targeting. A dedicated boost budget would be created based the best selling items.

Skills to have

We had NO knowledge of dropshipping or shopify before we immersed ourselves in the process. It's very easy to ramp up on these technologies and make easy money.
