Why this business was started
I was a big customer in the paper crafting industry, and loved creating cards and scrapbook pages for most of my life. Once I became a stay at home mom, I saw a real opportunity to turn a loved hobby, into a successful and fulfilling career. It allowed me to both be a stay at home mom, and find meaning and success in the work place. It gave me great freedom with my schedule and provided so many opportunities!
The reason of selling this business
My children are older now, and our schedules have become more busy. I know that I could invest more time in the business, but I am looking to slow down. I've struggled with the decision for some time, but realize there is great potential for Neat and Tangled, and my current customer base is hungry for products at a pace I can not keep up with! It's a great problem to have. I also know, that in scaling I would need to bring on more employees, and I honestly enjoyed working for myself and only with the occasional help of contract work.

How to grow this business
There is a lot to take advantage of to grow the business.
I have not even tapped into the full potential of wholesaling, monetizing the YouTube channel, being more active on Facebook and Instagram, offering online workshops, creating partnerships with other brands in the industry, or working with international distributors.
Personally, I'd work on more time developing content for our social media platforms engaging with the customers (Facebook live, Instagram live, YouTube, replying to comments and engaging with customers)
Create online classes (using a platform like Teachable)
Collaborate with other brands to co-create products
Grow the design team
Grow subscriber list via opt-ins
Grow the wholesale side of the business (direct to wholesale accounts and via an international distributor)
Return to a monthly product release schedule
Re-evaluate product pricing to see what is best for the current market

Skills to have
It depends on if you want to design products yourself, or hire an independent contractor to create artwork for products. Shopify is very intuitive and provides great resources for learning how to navigate
If interested in designing your own products, an understand of Adobe Illustrator or Procreate would be helpful.
Also, since at the moment it is an entirely online business, knowledge of social media platforms is vital.
