Business Story

Why this business was started

I've been making $1k+ per month consistently for the past 4-5 months just by promoting the products on Instagram.

I'm a young entrepreneur, I was doing freelancing before starting this business. I just started this business out of curiosity. It wasn't about making money but more about learning advertising, product listing and other aspects of an e-com business. And at the end I was successful at my goal. Now, I want to try other business like Amazon FBA, affiliate marketing etc. I actually have no interest in the niche, and I still started with it any way. Before starting the store I had no Idea of the fishing or the fishkeeping or aquarium niche. I want to start a new store on a niche that I have interest in.

This is a drop shipping store so there is no need to hold inventory. Our supplier is through AliExpress and is very friendly and responds quickly -- I have a good working relationship.

As I said earlier, this store has two niches -Fishing and Aquarium. So, there are products in both the niches.

Now talking about the store: I have everything that you might need. Timers, content protectors, reviews, email collectors and much more. Some of the options are disabled and can easily be enabled.

My store looks like a proper brand unlike other dropshipping stores. Open up any of the product pages, look at the description. They are well written with images. You won't find a better looking fishing page on the shopify exchange marketplace.

The reason of selling this business

I want to try and sell products in a different niche, I could change the niche of this store but then it would be a waste of all the resources I have with this niche - over 300 customers, all the products, branding, video ads, print on demand designs etc. If you open up the website you'll realize by looking at the store just how much time I've spent crafting it up and customizing the theme, writing detailed descriptions, editing the photos, adding GIFs, creating Videos. So yeah, to sum it up, I have no interest in the niche and would like to sell this and try a different niche. I've put a lot of time and effort into this and the website is one of the most beautiful websites on the shopify platform. So, selling this store is really hurting me, ah well.

I've spent at least 40 hours every week since I started this business perfecting this store, making print on demand designs, researching, advertising, writing descriptions and creating awesome video ads. I've also grown an instagram page in the fishing niche. It has over 43,000 followers. And for the past 4-5 months, I've just been promoting the products on that page. No paid ads.
