Why this business was started

I decided to start this business as a way to gain some experience into the world of e-commerce. I wanted to see if it was something I could work on while I am studying at university to make some income while gaining some applicable, real world experience. It definitely was successful and I found much more success with this store than I anticipated. There are a lot of top selling beauty products out there and I wanted to create a one-stop shop for the most innovative, unique ones. I wanted to emphasize the message of being yourself and incorporated that into the brands message and incorporated it into the name itself which is evident in the logo.

The reason of selling this business

  • The reason I’m selling the business is because I no longer have the time and commitment to continue scaling it. I have gained a lot of valuable experience from this store that I will continue to build upon. My workload in university is increasing and I'll be working full time during the summer. I no longer can invest as much time into running the store that I once could. I think someone else can benefit from this opportunity much more than I can.

  • Social media marketing or other method for driving traffic. I have a very effective ad strategy I will share with you and plenty of pixel data for optimization and scaling. Fulfilling orders (mostly automated through dropified), answering customer emails, updating social pages, creating product pages for new products.

Other details about profit: The profit margin accounts for ad spend per sale and varied a lot because I did a lot of testing with ads at the beginning but the later months have been incredibly successful. I didn't run any ads in March but still managed some sales.

    How to grow this business

    I would dedicate more time to branding on social media, post regularly and reach out to influencers. Take advantage of the email list (I didn't) with email marketing. Eventually, move from drop-shipping to housing physical inventory and custom packaging for best selling products. Hire a team for duties like customer support, order fulfillment, social media, advertising which I can connect you with people that I have already received offers for. This brand has a lot of potential and can do very well in the right hands.

    A basic understanding of e-commerce and the Shopify platform. Facebook ad knowledge helps but is not required, I will share my ad strategy for scaling successfully. Copywriting for product pages and social media. I am willing to offer support where I can.
