Why this business was started

Saving the turtles became a popular campaign and was something I felt passionate about. I also saw an opportunity to profit from it as well and decided to take action on that. Being able to profit from a product that is encouraging good habits for our environment is a win-win.

The reason of selling this business

I've started a new store that needs all of my attention. It's in the beginning stages and it's a big leap to the brands I've built in the past. I've realized that it'd be hard to focus equal amounts of energy on both stores at the same time.

What's involved in running this business

This entire brand was built on affiliate marketing. I was able to build a team of twitter influencers to promote my products under their tweets. These influencers wont come with the store so you'd have to build up your own team.

To fulfill orders I simply send my supplier a csv file through skype. I would provide you with my suppliers contact. He has a very quick turnaround time, even for the biggest of orders.

    How to grow this business

    I believe there to be a lot of low-hanging fruit with this store. For starters this is a two product store, the straws and a t-shirt. Adding other products in this same niche will get those returning customers. Right now our returning customer rate isn't high whatsoever.

    I've also neglected the email list. I've never sent an email to this huge list of customers. Reason being is because I'm not great at writing them to be honest.

    Another huge opportunity is using other platforms to advertise. We've made almost all of our sales through our twitter affiliates. We've also made sales from instagram posts from happy customers.

    There is a big opportunity to diversify to other platforms such as Facebook. With the amount of data already gathered you'll be able to create strong Look-alike audiences.
