Why this business was started

As our other business, [REDACTED], lost all of its revenue due to covid. We sold to restaurants and they were closed. Therefore we decided to started an online business. We researched what markets would thrive most and we came in the niche of home and decoration / art. When I was younger I had a lot of illustrated posters on my wall from famous football players. I thought maybe we could start a store in that. We learned how to illustrate and started Our Icons. We started with rappers and football players but soon knew that all kind of sports would work. That is how we founded the brand Our Icons. We then found a business model which is print on demand. Printing global shipping local. That is why we can sell worldwide which decreased marketing expenses due to wider targeting options.

The reason of selling this business

Risottini is going great again and therefore our focus is on that business. We still run Our Icons but only a few hours each week which is very sad for the potential that Our Icons has.

    My name is Merijn Kok and together with Daan Klein I have two businesses. One of them is Risottini. This business is selling Risotto balls to the foodservice and retailers in the Netherlands and Belgium. Due to covid this business lost most of its revenue as the restaurants were closed.
