Why this business was started

I decided to start Padio Living as I saw a gap in the market for a high-quality specialist dropshipper which focuses solely on high quality home & garden items. I also used proven methods to find trending categories such as Google trend analysis to prove that the demand for these products is there. I also spent weeks if not more researching competition and building relationships with suppliers in the industry, all of which will be passed directly over to the buyer of the store.

Above all else, I created this store as part of my wider eCommerce store portfolio, through which I build passive income on a daily basis and fund a financial free lifestyle - which is very possible for anyone who takes over this store.

The reason of selling this business

I decided to put this store up for sale purely because I am using investments generated through all of my eCommerce stores to pursue a new path in real estate.

This business has so much potential and as mentioned, I truly believe it's an easy six-figure earner. To add more context, I built this store in May 2020 and ran Google Ads for just a few weeks, and generated an easy £10k per month with minimal effort and some Google campaigns on auto-pilot.

£10k per month already sets this store up as a £120k revenue run rate without really having even scaled the store. For instance, I only opened the store up for UK selling to begin with and just started with a couple of high-ticket profitable categories such as Fire Pits & Garden Statues. Moving on to other categories such as hot tubs and also scaling up the Fire Pits category through adding more suppliers will transform this store into a marketplace for such items.

I've also created this store to plant 1 tree per order to promote sustainable shopping choices for the modern-day eco-conscious consumer.

What's involved in running this business

The main components of running this business include running the day-to-day store management including working with suppliers (relationships provided) to ensure that the stock on the site is reflective of the stock at the supplier. This is important to ensure that the store is as accurate as possible, but realistically you'll have great visibility over this owing to automated stock reports which are sent directly by the supplier's stock managers.

Other than that, driving traffic to the store is important to ensure that the customer base is growing and to give you a chance to sell more products. Driving traffic can be done through any method of your choice.

Once an order comes through, you will need to contact the supplier to arrange an invoice to be paid to you (only once you have the customer's payment confirmed). You will then pass over to the supplier who manage the full end-to-end delivery of the item including item tracking and contacting the customer to arrange convenient delivery.

Other optional jobs include adding more suppliers (this is done through researching new categories and competitor sites) and also improving the design; however bear in mind that this store includes a premium Shopify theme worth £150 and comes with over 500 products already listed and ready to sell.

Our average monthly revenue is actually £10k, as we only ran traffic to this store for 3-months - we generated £10k sales for these 3 months consistently. Please note that this is the main reason for the store's valuation, as these are not simply available to any business owner. I built these relationships from scratch, so in buying this business you will be getting a huge leg-up by having them handed straight over. I can make introductions, pass on stock reports and educate you on how to work with each of the suppliers. I will also give names of other suppliers that will be relevant to contact in the future when adding more brands to the store.

    How to grow this business

    The growth potential of this store is incredible. I truly believe this is a hidden gem in the Shopify world, as my store provides incredibly high-profit margins and comes with pre-built relationships with top quality high-ticket product suppliers with global shipping options. Owing to this high-quality nature of the products, we have not had 1 refund request of the £30,000 in sales. We have over 500 products on the store listed and ready to sell.

    To grow this store further, I would analyse competitors and add to the category range that the store currently has based on the market, and also open up for shipping outside of UK. So far this store has generated over £30,000 of sales with a minimum order value of £1000 with minimal advertising investment. Please note that I only ran Ads to this store for 3-months, so this is an average of £10k/month or £120k/year.

    In 2020, UK households purchased approximately 14.4 billion British pounds worth of furniture and furnishings, an increase on the previous year of roughly one and a half billion British pounds.This store is an easy six-figure bet as it focuses on the affluent shoppers within this category.

    I would definitely make the social media accounts bigger to grow the brand awareness. This is an area I have not focused on, as I was running specifically Google Ads without any Facebook/Instagram marketing.

    Skills to have

    I believe that the buyer of this store will need a social media and/or Google marketing capability. This is by no means saying that they must be advanced, as everything can be learned; but some initial experience would be useful.

    Knowledge of dropshipping more widely would be good, and also high-ticket dropshipping specifically.

    The design of the store is already finished, but if the buyer has Photoshop/Design skills then these could be put to good use in re-branding the store.

    Other than that, great organisation skills would be very useful to ensure smooth management of the store.
