Business Story

Why this business was started

I decided to start this business because I saw how everyone in the e-commerce dropshipping game (YouTube, Instagram, etc) was selling posture correctors and were making a killing! I hadn't personally paid much attention to it, but after seeing that I also wanted a piece of the pie; and believe me, there's plenty of that pie to go around for absolutely everyone!

The reason of selling this business

I decided to sell this store because at the time that I started building out my shop and started conducting some market research I was presented with another business opportunity and I decided to take that on instead. I pushed this project off to the side with the intentions of keeping it going as a side project but I just didn't have the time anymore.

What's involved in running this business

Well since this is a dropshipping business it functions differently than other e-commerce businesses. You have to run paid traffic to your store to get visitors and then convert them into paying customers. For that you could run Facebook or Google ads or any other type of ads, but in this case I recommend either FB or Google. You have to make sure your website is functioning correctly so that your customers can checkout easily. Once you get an order you simply fulfill using the Oberlo app which makes everything 100x easier! You should keep your customers updated about their product so they don't get anxious about it, communication is key in this business. Now, to get the most out of your money I do suggest setting up txt message and email marketing to send out automated email and text sequences to your new customers to create long lasting loyal customers that you won't have to keep paying for via paid advertising.

Seller‘s Advice

How to grow this business

The domain in general is pretty great to turn it into a brand focused on posture correcting products which is an evergreen niche, meaning you will get paid for as long as people have posture problems. I personally would grow this store by keeping in as a dropshipping business for the first year. After that you can white label the products so you look like a trust worthy brand. After this, I would order inventory in bulk to ship it out myself or use a fulfillment center in the US. After 3-5 years of scaling the business I would exit the business by selling it for a good chunk of money.

Skills to have

As as far as skills go I say you should do the following to be a solid business owner of an online store.. 1. Learn basic marketing tactics 2. Learn paid advertising (Facebook ads, Google ads, etc) 3. Learn copywriting These three are the main ones that have helped me in my other businesses. Once you know the basics and know how these things function you can outsource this to other people so that you can sit back, chill, and check on them from time to time.
