Why this business was started

I started with the intention of creating a successful online brand and online store that catered to something I love. Creating an online social portal using the same URL was also attractive. The templates provided by shopify made it fairly easy to create the look and feel of the store. There are thousands of products available through oberlo and ali to feature in the store at any time.

The reason of selling this business

While I am in love with the "People Who Bike" name and URL, unfortunately I did not take the time to develop a marketing plan and budget. I did keep the store active however I never promoted it in any way and therefor lost the passion and drive to see it through and develop into a prosperous and engaging brand.

What's involved in running this business

Focus, focus, focus. I watched several videos that warned not to bring on too many products when opening the store. I did not follow this advice and feel I got caught up in the minutia of choosing products instead of promoting the store/products.
Marketing, marketing, marketing. In the right hands and with some time and investment towards marketing, PeopleWhoBike has tremendous potential.
