There is a huge search for phone cases and accessories so we decide to open a store within this niche, where we could sell to a wide variety of cell phone brands and upsell with tech accessories. The store only is 11 months old and it has grew quite fast since we have started this from zero. We already had some returning costumers and the social media is helping a lot.
The reason of selling this business
Me and my partner have opened a Vape store in London, UK and we realized it would be a great business to sell it nationally, so we are now building another online store. We were aiming to sell through Amazon and Ebay but due to the fact we are based in the UK, we ended up not being eligible for business accounts with this platform - which has unmotivated us quite a lot. So we have decided to sell this to someone who is looking for an opportunity, just as we were a few years ago. Dropshipping business in the Tech niche with Suppliers based in Long Island, New York, offering 1-2 day shipping times nationally.
This store grew from our old Phone Mirror Case (One product store) which did quite well at the time. We decided to up our game and find better suppliers. So we found R**** W****** which have been great partners, offering us an account manager who updates us regularly and deals with any of our queries very fast!
We, based in the UK, had good hopes in growing this business through Amazon and Ebay, having our products listed in this high organic traffic places was just a super juicy idea. Unfortunately for us we soon realized we were not eligible to open a business account in this market places due to the fact we don't have an US address.
At this time we realized how much we were limited and it was not fun. We have decided to open a store nationally and give this opportunity to anyone based in the US who has the potential to take this to another level. The store has been paused for about 2 months and we have now decided to sell it.

SEO (very important) - We hired a couple of SEO specialist throughout this months so at this very moment the website its at its finest when it comes to SEO. We do recommend hiring a specialist from time to time to ensure the SEO is kept. Also included in the sale is an explanation in how to easily ping your website to Search Engines such as Google.
We have two written blog posts from m*****.com (has high authority on Google, above 90) which are great back-links for the store.
The website is highly optimized, its fast and costumer friendly. Usually people install a lot of Shopify apps in order to achieve this, but all this apps install an additional script and extra code. Even when uninstalled, most of the code remains on the liquid files of the store which can slow down the page quite a lot and that is the main reason costumer leave the website, slow pages. We have done exactly the opposite, we have coded the website in the most compacted way, we have a cart-button animation code built-in already, the badges are coded also and the images have been compressed to the correct dimension to avoid wasting extra time. We have optimized the website to its finest and that can be seen on gtmetrix.com, fell free to check it out (print-screen available on thew gallery).
Therefore we only have 8 apps installed: Fast Checkout, Privy, TrustedSite, Recapture Abandoned Cart, ReConvert, TrustPilot, SmartSearch and Tracktor (image on gallery, you will see a ninth app but that is Exchange Marketplace in order to sell this store).
Privy - .
Fast Checkout - Can replace the Add to Cart button with an Order Now! (you can edit the button as you please) and/or simply add an extra button and keep the Add-to-Cart one. Once its clicked the costumer is taken straight to checkout, it helps on sales.
TrustedSite - Shows a badge on the bottom-right corner of the store, once clicked a pop-up appears stating the website is safe, free of phishing, etc. (image in gallery)
Recapture - If a costumer bounces off your cart or checkout page it will email the costumer 3 times throughout 7 days with a reminder of their cart. They can simply click a button on the email and will be taken back to the checkout page.
ReConvert - My favorite app of all time! Allows you to create an interactive thank you page once the costumer has made a purchase. In here there is all the details about the order, a track-you-order system installed, a quick story of the company, some products at a discount price, ask them for their birthday and offer them a gift (We planned huge discount codes but you can offer your costumer whatever you please for their birthdays), a tell-us-your-experience survey and an option to share their purchase on social media and offer a 15% discount to whoever buys from their link! TrustPilot - Connects to Trust Pilot page and allows you to add Trust sections into your website
SmartSearch - Makes the search engine a way lot better! As the costumer starts typing, a tab opens with results. This is not only super accurate as very costumer-friendly.
Tracktor - Allows costumers to track their orders on site.
We have coded every single product page with a "Products you also might like", so there was no need to install a paid app for this.
The Contact Us page has been coded on the website so again, no need for an extra app.
We also seen some apps on the Shopify Store which create an interactive Make Your Own case, that was something we would definitely have a look at.
We deal with 1 supplier. They are based in Long Island in New York, USA and ship Nationally and to Canada. They manufacture their own products in countries like China but keep them in their warehouse ready for same day shipment, so the prices they offer are very similar to AliExpress (As an example, many of our phone cases cost us less than 2usd). Apart from the item cost they have a 0.69usd P&P fee (They dropship for you) and the shipping costs (which the costumers actually pays for).
Shipping method offered is USPS 1st Class Mail / Priority Mail
We also offer free return to our costumers as they very rarely happen and straight away offer a lot of trust to the costumer. An explanation in how that is done will be given and is included on this sale.
So this are all ideas we had planned for the future of this business.

The start of a business is always the worst and most difficult part, for most of the time you spend money and get little in return. Do not mistaken that for a loss, because it is truly only an investment. No business in the history of Mankind have made profits on their beginnings. If you do not believe in me you just have to create your own store to find that out. Even if you had a unique product you still had to spend more in adverts than you would get from sales, because you still have to let people now you exist. Only after they return is when the real profit comes. That is for every business, don't be afraid.
This store has a few months old and it gets easier every month, people are getting to know the business and the organic traffic increases. So we have gone through the worst bit of the journey (yet exciting) and at this time will be easier for the new owner.
At this moment, if the store would be left as it is, will be generating a PROFIT of 820usd per year and that comes from a yearly cashflow of around 997usd. Skills to have
Actually not really, I'm fluent on the Shopify Platform but I'm also 100% sure no one would have an issue leading a business. It might feel overwhelming to beginners at first (as it was to me) but quickly anxiety that disappeared. Shopify is known for being beginner friendly and they have an amazing chat support 24/7.
As the website is fully optimized and need no more adjustments I would definitely focus on the marketing and social media, I would put all my time into it.
