Business Story

Why this business was started

I have always loved the retro pinup niche. Starting out as Pink Bow Vintage, Pink Bow City sold vintage clothing & accessories online in 2009. Pink Bow Vintage evolved to Pink Bow City in 2012, featuring clothing from designers all over the world. In 2013 Pink Bow City moved to Los Angeles, California and launched an international print magazine featuring well-known pinup models such as Sabina Kelly, Masuimi Max, Kristen Leanne, Doe Deere, Mosh, and Micheline Pitt just to name a few. Pink Bow City has now relocated to the east coast. The magazine is not currently being published and our last issue was in 2017. It's ready for someone to take it to the next level whether it be ecommerce or continue on with the blog, which I am not interested in at the moment.

The reason of selling this business

I am not able to put the time into the business right now due to a family illness.

What's involved in running this business

There are no staff involved, just myself. Right now I am on the $29.00 month shopify plan and there are no products currently listed for sale so there is no advertising going on, however as soon as you source and list products in this very popular niche, you can start advertising on Facebook and Instagram. With 30,000 followers this is a great start for any business.

This business was founded: over 8 years ago
Time to run this business: approximately 15 hours per week

    Why use Exchange?

Exchange is the largest and fastest-growing marketplace for Shopify e-commerce stores

    Verified listing data

The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.

    Secure messaging platform

You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.

    Encrypted payment capture

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Take time to inspect the business

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

    Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.

    Post-purchase 24/7 Shopify support

Once you log into your Shopify account for the first time and choose a subscription plan, Shopify Support Gurus are available 24/7 to help you with the settings of the store.
