Why this business was started
I first decided to start a business to teach my kids that if you have an idea it's possible to achieve it. We wanted to add an additional stream of income to our family to help improve our situation. Do some research, define your goals, and work to hit your goals. Look to others that have done this before, learn from their mistakes so that you don't make the same mistakes that others have made and shared. We initially found this basic business startup on exchange and have made many changes to improve the overall look and feel of the site.
The reason of selling this business
I simply don't have the time necessary to dedicate to this business. I am working two full time jobs and a family that all want my time. My teenage girls that initially spurred the venture have taken on more volunteering and jobs of their own limiting their time, I enjoyed the things I've learned in this venture. I would love to continue it or even do it again given more available time to dedicate to the business.
What's involved in running this business
Research new products, look for trends in the category and try to have a simple model. No need to over complicate the process. Find a good supplier, a good product with good margins, and make the product descriptions your own. I wanted to have transparency with my customers and let them know that the delivery time may on occasion be longer than normal in some cases.
