General description

Pupper & Co. has been a popular drop-shipping Shopify store. Products have all been dog clothing and accessories, which have gotten popular through our Instagram and Facebook ads. We've also worked with a few dog influencers over the past. For this store, you'll be able to take over everything, including the domain, Instagram handle, and Twitter if you want it. We currently have 6,314 Instagram followers and 440 Facebook followers.

Why should someone buy this store?

Dog clothing is a niche industry; it's very popular at the moment, especially with people owning more dogs than having children. Also, we have a pretty good following on Instagram, where the community is interactive and interested in our products.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Spend more time adding new products, reaching out to more influencers, and change the context on the website descriptions. Also spend more time experimenting on ads.

What work have you put into the store?

We have done a lot of ground work on the shop, including optimizing website UI, picking the right products and writing high quality title/descriptions, researching and getting the right Shopify apps to improve conversion, building up social network community (active/authentic instagram followers), partnering with instagram influencers and sending out occassional news letters, experimenting with ads on Facebook and Instagram. We also accumulated a decent amount of customer mailing list (around 2100) and have around 450 orders so far which are strong levers for retargeting.

Other details about profit: This is calculated based on May 1, 2017-May 29, 2018 (13 months for total sale of $7993) when we had spent time on the shop. Over the past months (since June), we haven't been doing as much because of travel and our full-time jobs, but we've still gotten a decent amount of organic sales. The truth is we put in quite a bit of time in the beginning of May and saw good traction then we couldn't spend as much time due to our full time works after September. Then we picked up the work again after Feb 2018. There are a few months in between that didn't perform well because of this.
