Why this business was started
It's been almost three years since I started working in this store. I did a little bit of everything from google ads to Facebook ads. At the end of the day, it was SEO what brought in the majority of the money. I am currently not running any ads. The store has been in autopilot for the last eight months generating a steady stream of sales each month.
The reason of selling this business
I'm working on other business at the moment. I need to let this store go in order to focus on other enterprises. This was the first and only eCommerce store I've worked on, so there is plenty of valuable content. I simply don't have the time to spend on this any more. I do it because sales keep coming in and when you find $50 note on the floor, you just pick it up. That's what it feels like this store, like money on the street.
What's involved in running this business
Like I say before. I don't do anything other than fulfilling order throw Oberlo and Aliexpress. Every now and then there is a customer asking for something, and I just reply and email or two. That's about how much I do nowadays with this store.
This is a Toy Store mainly focus on STEAM toys but not limited to them. I found a lot of success in selling all kinds of Mum products. For example, the margins on selling baby carriers are well over 45%, so you have a lot of space to make a profit here. Once you get the hang of it you will understand. The main thing is to keep adding new products with plenty of good original authoritative content. That's what Google loves, think about Wikipedia. Big G will show this store to whoever is looking for your product in Australia.
Why should someone buy this store?
The main reason, you get to jump ahead of the competition. You get an established domain that has been building trust in front of Google's eyes for three years non stop. At the end of the day, if you've got the money to fast track your success, why wouldn't you do it then?
How can the future owner improve the business?
You don't have to be smart or slick to be successful in eCommerce. You are better off by being stupid and follow what is working. Don't deviate. What you one time you can do it two times. What you do two times, you can do it ten times. Just keep adding products and be the Wikipedia of Toys in Australia. Google will simply reward you for that.
What work have you put into the store?
From launching and setting up email campaigns to adding product review. Of course, product descriptions, managing social media, etc. The list goes on. You end up putting a lot of work on a 3-year-old store.

How to grow this business
In my opinion, most people in eCommerce focus only on Paid Ads. I believe there is much least competition and saturation in SEO traffic, particularly in countries like Australia, where the buying power is high, but the local offer is low. This store has a well establish and trusted .com.au domain that ranks very well on Google. My approach will be to keep importing new products to the store with high-quality content, which is the most critical ranking factor.
Skills to have
Not really. English is my second language, so I'm not an English natural writer. What I'm struggling to do, other people can do for a few dollars. You just need to go to Upwork and find writers to do your product description. The more content you add, the better your product will rank. This translate into clicks, which mean more sales. Simple as that.
