It's been almost three years since I started working in this store. I did a little bit of everything from google ads to Facebook ads. At the end of the day, it was SEO what brought in the majority of the money. I am currently not running any ads. The store has been in autopilot for the last eight months generating a steady stream of sales each month.

I'm working on other business at the moment. I need to let this store go in order to focus on other enterprises. This is a Toy Store mainly focus on STEAM toys but not limited to them. I found a lot of success in selling all kinds of Mum products. For example, the margins on selling baby carriers are well over 45%, so you have a lot of space to make a profit here. Once you get the hang of it you will understand. The main thing is to keep adding new products with plenty of good original authoritative content. That's what Google loves, think about Wikipedia. In my opinion, most people in eCommerce focus only on Paid Ads. I believe there is much least competition and saturation in SEO traffic, particularly in countries like Australia, where the buying power is high, but the local offer is low. This store has a well establish and trusted .com.au domain that ranks very well on Google. My approach will be to keep importing new products to the store with high-quality content, which is the most critical ranking factor.
Skills to have
Not really. English is my second language, so I'm not an English natural writer. What I'm struggling to do, other people can do for a few dollars. You just need to go to Upwork and find writers to do your product description. The more content you add, the better your product will rank. This translate into clicks, which mean more sales. Simple as that.
