Why this business was started

Camping and Fishing are both evergreen niches with a group of customers that love their gear and products. Dropshipping is the best way to generate a passive income for fully automated websites. I personally have a passion for the outdoors and wanted to share that passion with other people through my brand.

The reason of selling this business

I am going to start a new dropshipping venture [REDACTED] and also work on an Amazon FBA business. I simply don't have time to grow Python Ridge into the brand it deserves to be.

What's involved in running this business

Adding more products to grow the brand, advertising (Facebook would be best), and fulfilling orders.

All else is automated. Posts to Facebook are semi-automated through a Shopify app called Outfy, order tracking and confirmation info is sent out to customers. The website was built very professionally without any gaps in the business. Privacy policy, shipping policy, and return policies are all set into place. With proper budgeting and oversight, this could grow into a very strong business and brand. The strength of Python Ridge Outfitters is the branding.

This website is 90% automated and is at a stage where growth is the only thing a new owner needs to worry about. Facebook has 5500 followers, mailing list generates leads (85 subscribers) with a loyalty rewards system set in place, Cart optimization is set up and order tracking info is available to the customers.

The business has web push notifications and SMS notifications for discount codes.

I have spent hundreds of hours setting this business up but now at this point only 4-8 hours are needed per week. Advertising will need to be resumed (it has been stopped) to generate sales.

    How to grow this business

    Python Ridge has a strong brand that has gathered the attention of NASCAR and Shark Tank almost immediately upon launching. I was in correspondence with James "Jim" White about a car sponsorship with the Python Ridge brand. If someone with a decent budget would be able to rent a sponsorship on a NASCAR vehicle, it could serve as a great opportunity for growing the brand. NASCAR quoted me the cost for the 2019 sponsorship at $12,500 (down from $40,000). Although this was not in my budget.

    This brand could grow very strongly in spring 2020. There is a winning product as well as other profitable products. The website is set up to be 90% automated. All that needs to be done is to continue the marketing (advertising), adding products, and fulfill orders with Oberlo.

    Skills to have

    Branding. Advertising/Marketing. Dropshipping Fulfillment. An understanding of sporting goods would help.

    Advertising was done through Google Ads, but Facebook Ads would be a better way to advertise for quicker profits and growth.
