Why this business was started
In my high school days around 2008 I was actively involved in the Rave scene in Salt Lake City. I LOVED the atmosphere, people and culture. At the time, my brother owned a record store that sold DJ equipment and women's clothing. I knew he was missing "glove lights" which were widely popular among male ravers. My inner entrepreneur kicked in and I invested my $1000 in savings into "Inova" keychain lights. I also ordered many different colors of 5mm LED bulbs and switched out the white LEDs for colored LEDs to make themed and custom colored glove sets. I placed them for sale on consignment in my brothers store and they started selling like hot cakes! Shortly afterwards however my brothers store went out of business. I was left holding a bunch of inventory and decided to start building an online presence and Rave-Nation.com was established on October 29 2009.
The reason of selling this business
After having ran Rave-Nation.com, I have grown burnt out. I started the business shortly after highschool with $1000, struggled to maintain it through college for several years and now that I am seeing growth again I find myself entirely burnt out.
What's involved in running this business
As it stands now, the business is extremely streamlined with only 1 part time packager, about 10 hours per week of my time, and one independent contractor that updates listings/inventory online periodically. However, I believe this business has the potential to become the leader in "Light Up Clothing", which will require much more passion and investment than I have been giving it.
PLEASE NOTE we are not just selling Rave-Nation.com See: [REDACTED] (see attached proof of revenue screenshot)
