Why this business was started
I saw a space in the market for "different" cards. Not just your average cards, i have never been a "lovey dovey" cards sending person. I like wit and humour and these cards really hit the spot i think. I designed and produced these products, my background is graphic design and i felt when i wanted to send a greetings card, the high street shops and internet just didn't hit the spot for me. I have had a lot of interest in my designs and everyone seems to love them! I started this company to earn some money on the side of my full time job. It has been better than expected with the sales of my products.
The reason of selling this business
I have truly loved having this business as a side line, a way to escape form my 9-5. Unfortunately i do not have the time to be able to expand the company in the way it needs to be taken. There are a lot of avenues that this company could take to make it extremely successful they will take time and commitment to fulfil. It breaks my heart to sell, but i want this company to grow and give it that step up it needs that i can not commit to.
What's involved in running this business
Fulfilling orders - Orders will mainly come from Google Ad words and FB at the moment. Instagram and pinterest are avenues to explore for added growth. Creating new designs - Designs need to be updated, and new lines added to keep up with competition and trends. Keeping up with trends and slang - You have to be "down with the kids" in terms of slang words and sayings. for example incorporating GOT and other popular TV shows into designs and such like. Ordering from suppliers - I tend to order in bulk at the start of the month, i will give you my suppliers details if needed. There is also an option of adding drop shipping onto your shopify account to get a third party to print and deliver the orders. That option would suit someone who doesn't want to store stock, products and print in house. keeping stock of envelopes and card - I do stock order at the beginning of the month. Sometimes i will have to order again mid month due to high demand. This wouldn't be an issue to someone who goes the drop shipping route. Social media updates - the social media platforms need expansion, i only really post onto FB and i don't do that nearly as much as i should! The aim has always been to post at least 4 times a day. This would need to be over all platforms and not just FB.

How to grow this business
Time is key, a key i unfortunatley do not have to give this company. With the right amount of hours expanding it it could grow and grow. There are a few areas i have explored to expand products, for example: mugs, keyrings, shopping totes, pens etc. I have put feelers out on social media platforms for feedback to different merchendise and the response i got was amazing! But again, due to my time restrictions i have not been able to proceed with them. There are drop shipping companies via Shopify that you can send orders of this type to and they produce and deliver products for you. This was the avenue i would of gone down, this cuts costs your end as you do not have to pay for storage and heavy duty equipment. We have a high following on FB of 18K, instagram is very low as i have only just stepped into this. With more time to spend on social media posting the followers would come rolling in.

Commitment to the products and expansion is what this company needs. Full dedication to the growth of this online business would make a lot of revenue. Social media posting are a must to get as many customers to the website as possible, engaging with followers and learning which posts grab more attention.
