We started RigAssembler for our love for computer hardware and gaming.

We saw the increasing demand for custom computers in gaming, data science, AI/Machine Learning, etc. These workloads are very demanding in very different ways such that pre-built PC offering from brands like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc., doesn't meet the requirements for most users and not to mention that they are quite a bit expensive as compared to custom solutions(like ours), therefore there way a huge market to be captured here and so we did.

At RigAssembler we provide free consultation for hardware solutions that the user may require (for tasks like video editing, data processing, etc.). We help our customers pick the right parts for their PC to maximize the performance and produce sales on the final agreed specifications. But this is a small part of what RigAssembler is, a customer can also pick all of the parts on his/her own without needing to communicate with us at all and place the order directly with the help of our "BUILD MY PC" section (Just google for build my pc, you'll find us on the first page).

Apart from all this RigAssembler is also your regular e-commerce website where individual PC parts can be purchased.

Do you work with any employees, freelancers, or contractors?

We have a small team of 4 people.
2 Owners and 2 employees.
Owners handle things like business strategies, finances, suppliers, etc.
Employees handle product listings, inventory management and customer dealing.

RigAssembler is an already established business which profitable and generates a substantial amount of revenue.

We've been online for more than 2 years now, we have interacted with a lot of customer in that period of time and have generated public trust and brand.

We have a strong search visibility and organic SEO with 1,350 back-links from google. (Just search for something along the lines of "build my pc", "assemble computer online", etc., and you'll know)

We are still very much invested into the website. Currently we are:
-Developing a new theme for our store which will be live in a couple of days. (almost completed)
-Developing a fully functional mobile app for the website. (About 40% into it's development)
-Engaging more with social media with daily updates and promotions.
-Holding up gaming conventions at colleges and public events (See our Facebook page for some earlier posts related to those events)
-Continuously providing better options and features for our customers (EMI payment plans, shipping estimations directly at product page)
-Publishing new articles and blogs on our products (reviews, recommendations, guides, etc.) in the blogs section of our store.
-Our store has over 1000 products with proper images and descriptions.
-Most all of the display banner images used in the store are designed in house with available PSDs (for easy editing) and are included with the store.

How can the future owner improve the business?

When we started this business we literally had nothing in our pockets (being college students at the time). We've always felt like we have missed bigger opportunities because the lack of a greater budget. The future owner can spend considerably on advertising platform like Google Shopping, Facebook Pixel, etc., which would help them reach new audience.

One thing that we always couldn't pay much attention to (sadly) is social media.
Although we are now investing more and more into it, the future own can definitely improve on that by covering all of the major social websites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as they are a great tool to interact with your potential customers.

What work have you put into the store?

We've been constantly at it for the past ~2.5 years with our website.
We have studied the market of computer hardware, customer preferences and habits.
We have used three different themes (and a 4th one with being developed right now), new one always much bigger and better than the old one and we always keep on implementing new features in the existing theme like shipping estimation at product page, Build My PC tool, special offer and cashback indicators at product page, etc.

We have written many product reviews, blogs, and technical guides to educate our customers.

We have offered direct chat consultation to the customers.

We provide after sales technical support to the customers.
