As passionate runners we recognised the need for a runner specific multi-Vitamin. With very little on the market we wanted to create something of great quality and lifestyle branding. Liquid is awesome because it has far superior absorption rates, and we also chose the best source ingredients so the bioavailability is second to none. We KNOW we have a great product as we recently got blood tests done from one customer (brave move not done by many supplement customers). We started off slowly building a good customer base and traffic, but an unexpected emigration meant we took the foot off the gas (you can see on the graph the impact of our move in July 17) and can no longer give it the focus it deserves. We have also found although it’s an ecommerce business, being out of country has reduced our ability to leverage our running networks.
Luckily we have a small, core base of loyal customers who buy every month allowing the business to just break even. This is the big advantages of our product, the fact that it is required monthly. Most of our customers are on a recurring subscription and our repeat customer rate for the last 12 months (of which we were only active for 6) is just under 30%. One customer loved it so much he bought it for all three of his children also!
It just needs someone now who can increase the website traffic to get the product in front of more runners. The margin is also there to allow for wholesale which would be the a great way to grow profits. Ours is a good opportunity as just doing the bare minimum still sees you breaking even, so any effort will be rewarded.
