Business Story

Why this business was started

Score Merch was started in January of 2018 by my brother and I. I had previous experience running a Shopify store for a Record Label and my brother had an idea to sell sports merchandise. I thought the idea seemed interesting and I wanted to test some of my skills as a graphic designer/web developer. Score Merch was an experiment to see what could happen if I applied some of the skills I had learned over the years.

The reason of selling this business

We’ve learned some lessons from running Score Merch and decided it’s not the best fit to work together anymore. We have only invested $10 into advertisement, All of our sales came from posting on social media. I think to push the company forward we would want to put more time and money into advertisement and narrow a target audience. Both of us do not have the time to invest into this.

Seller‘s Advice

How to grow this business

Paid Advertising. We only ran one add for $10, and it got us one sale. I think if you invested more money and time you could narrow an audience down and greatly increase your sales.
