I set this store up at the start of the year spotting a gap in the market for eco surf products that deliver to the US within reasonable time span. Unlike a lot of the drop shipping sites I don't just rely on sourcing products from China. I carefully researched other options and found drop shippers from the US selling natural / eco products. There's great potential to grow this business. I haven't really done much with Paid advertising but focused for the last 6 months on building the organic presence which requires most effort. I'm now starting to see some of the fruits of this labour with better organic rankings.
Anyone who has a passion for surfing and natural products would be able to hit the ground running with this store. There's a lot of opportunities to build on the ground work done for SEO and also start pushing other channels such as Social and Paid Search.
How can the future owner improve the business?
Work on securing partnerships, running highly targeted Facebook and Google Adwords campaigns, expand product range and work on improving funnel.
What work have you put into the store?
A premium theme with some coding customisations and a lot of the SEO leg work has been done. I have invested my own time and money into building up the content, writing unique product descriptions, page titles, meta descriptions. I have implemented advanced analytics tracking through segment - allows you to push data and connect with virtually any third party you can think of. My VA has worked on building up the link profile organically such as guest blog posting s well as some budget spent on acquisition.
