Why this business was started

ENG: SIMEDIO was born more than 8 years ago (firstly, it was built on the other platform) but to be honest, I, Alicja Michalak – the founder of the store, thought about it a very long time ago... Over 18, that's for sure. My daughter is now 19 and this whole story begins with her birth.

Being a young mother, I wanted to have everything that was best for my baby: food, toys, clothes... And with these I often had problems. Bodysuits (pajamas, pants, hats...) which become deformed after the first wash, not 100% delicate cotton for the most sensitive skin (we all know the fragility of baby's skin), the materials and the finish really far from ideal, the snaps that tear the garment. And everywhere only pink and blue. As if there were no other colors. And all the clothes with the same designs created and printed somewhere in Asia. I wanted to dress my daughter on one side in an original way and on the other side in high quality clothes (not spending all my money at the same time). It was not easy to find these clothes but I managed it :)

Then, I started working in a big company, the little one grew up, the problem of clothes was no longer so frustrating or embarrassing.

And yes, finally THE moment comes when everything has changed in my life (let's tell the truth, above all my professional life). I lost my job. From one day to the next, I was left without work. But this moment was very good for me; I remembered an idea to have my own shop, my own business. This is how my shop was born.

FR: SIMEDIO est né il y a plus que 8 ans (premièrement, il a été construit sur l'autre plate-forme) mais à vrai dire moi, Alicja Michalak – la fondatrice de la boutique, j’y ai pensé il y a déjà très longtemps... Plus de 18 ans, c’est sûr. Ma fille a maintenant 19 ans et toute cette histoire commence avec sa naissance.

Étant une jeune maman, j’ai voulu avoir tout ce qui est le meilleur pour mon bébé : nourriture, jouets, vêtements... Et avec ces derniers j’ai eu souvent de problèmes. Bodies (pyjamas, pantalon, bonnets...) qui se déforment après le premier lavage, pas de 100% coton délicat pour la peau la plus sensible (on connaît tous la fragilité de la peau du bébé), les matériaux et la finition vraiment loins d’être idéals, les boutons-pressions qui déchirent le vêtement. Et partout uniquement le rose et le bleu. Comme s’il n’y avait pas d’autres couleurs. Et tous les vêtements avec les mêmes motifs créés et imprimés quelque part en Asie. J’ai voulu habiller ma fille de l’un côté d’une façon originale et de l’autre côté en vêtements d’une haute qualité (ne dépensant pas en même temps tout mon argent). Ce n’était pas facile de trouver ces vêtements mais j’y arrivais :)

Puis, j’ai commencé à travailler dans une grande entreprise, la petite grandissait, le problème des vêtements n’était plus tellement frustrant ni gênant.

Et oui, enfin LE moment arrive où tout a changé dans ma vie (disons la vérité, avant tout ma vie professionnelle). J’ai perdu mon travail. D’un jour à l’autre, je suis restée sans travail. Mais ce moment a été très bon pour moi ; je me suis souvenue d’une idéé d’avoir ma propre boutique, mon propre entreprise. C'est de cette façon que ma boutique a été née.

The reason of selling this business

ENG: This Boutique is an additional project, I normally work full time and I no longer have time to focus on these two projects. It is also my health that no longer allows me to work as much. I see and know that this Boutique has great potential and I wouldn't want to abandon it "just like that". I would like to sell it to someone who would have the time to be able to take care of my "baby" ;)

FR: Cette Boutique est un projet additionel, je travaille normallement à temps plein et je n’ai plus de temps de me concentrer sur ces deux projets. C’est aussi ma santé qui ne me permet plus de travailler autant. Je vois et je sais que cette Boutique a un grand potentiel et je ne voudrais pas l’abandonner « comme ça ». Je voudrais la vendre à une personne qui aurait le temps pour pouvoir s’occuper de mon « bébé » ;)

What's involved in running this business

ENG: I do everything myself: - creation of the patterns that are printed on the clothes - supply of clothing stock - adding products to the store's website - management of orders and customer service, etc.

But I don't have time to do any ads, newsletter and recently, I even haven't time to manage my social accounts regularly.

FR: Je fais tous uniquement moi-même : - création des motifs qui sont imprimé sur les vêtements - approvisionnement du stock de vêtements - ajout des produits sur le site de la boutique - gestion des commandes et du service client, etc.

Mais je n'ai pas le temps de faire de pubs, de newsletter et depuis peu, je n'ai même pas le temps de gérer régulièrement mes comptes sociaux.
