Business Story

Why this business was started

It was my second official project as a Shopify Partner and I utilized my skills and html/javascript knoweledge to the best of my ability. Web design and development is my passion and I love to help merchants start their eCommerce chapter.

I believe that everyone is able to start their own eCommerce website, they just need to have the drive and the correct ideas. Standing out and being different, while creating a need for your products, is a must if you're going to survive in this crowded ecosystem.

The reason of selling this business

From the get-go, the intent was to always sell the website as I am a Web designer/developer. I did all of the hard work for you by researching the pillow's response to the global market and it's "scientific facts." It all checks out and I can prove it.

There was also another reason for marketing towards potential customers as well. I needed to work on the colors, pricing, and other website functions to establish a baseline for the User Experience and User Interface. After countless hours of work, I finally produced the end result and it's ready for someone to take the helm and lead themselves to success.

What's involved in running this business

I left some products in the import list so that you're able to determine whether or not you want to increase the catalog size. Other than that, most of the work is creating, optimizing, and monitoring your marketing campaigns as you WILL need to spend money on ads in order to get people to learn about your business. In addition, you should plan to spend at least 10 hours a week just going through social media and following people, liking comments, replying, etc. Growing your presence on social media is a must and sort of a free way to get traffic to your store. If you do this, you'll generate organic growth by simply posting and following others.

I can also teach you (if you want) how to create video ads just with pictures and how to diversify your social media to create a brand, not some cookie cutter emoji-filled page that some guru told you "totally works."

I'm a Shopify Partner so I'll help you out for one month following the sale to get you up to speed and show you how I collect market data. In addition, I'll also show you why I decided to start using EPROLO on my stores instead of Oberlo. There's a big difference between 15-25 days and 5-8 days for an American shopper when it comes to shipping times. REAL businesses run on Data from actual research, not some guru on YouTube telling you how to start a business with $5.

Seller‘s Advice

How to grow this business

This was created for myself mostly, but I do think that you would be able to use it for your own goals as well.

The plan/goals are as follows:

Expand shipping zones to Europe and all of the Americas

Become the highest rated online store for customer satisfaction

Work towards leaving the dropshipping model as soon as possible to create a private label brand (maybe talk to the manufacturer)

I also included a business strategy:

Educate customers about the brand and the benefits of the pillow

Be the industry leader in the niche

Deliver excellence in Customer Satisfaction

Starting a dropshipping business in the American eCommerce world can be daunting. That's why you need to provide something different, and this store is the key. Honest business practices, faster delivery times, and products that are of higher quality will set you apart. I'd like to believe that the warm feel of the landing page has allowed

On top of this, the one constant that everyone should be following is GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you add a business phone number, expect people to call it. If you add an email, expect people to email you. Delayed responses or responses that don't satisfy customer inquiries show that you don't care about the customer, and in turn, their money.

Skills to have

You need to be able to write your own ads! I have tried using KIT in the past to determine if I could generate good traffic to my site without doing too much. The thing is, the traffic is there, but the conversion rate is very low (less than the average of 0.02%). That means that there is a very high cost for sales if you use KIT because it doesn't optimize as fast as you need it to be.

Overall, it's just better to create your own test ads and monitor the results after 1 day to determine if you have the correct demographics, or if it's time to scale the ads.

In addition, you need to be able to copywrite very well. If you don't know how to write product descriptions, blog posts, social media posts, etc, hire someone to do it (This is something I can arrange as well as a Shopify Partner!). You will appreciate high quality work when you start making sales as supposed to people ignoring your brand because of bad writing.

I currently am studying Music in College, but don't get me wrong, web-design is one of my greatest passions! Let's get started.
