haven't been actively working the store - with lease, you take on marketing expenses
It's win-win. If you have the time and small amount of money to invest, if you sold these bags for $35 each, give me my $17, you make $18 per bag time 1100 bags in inventory, that's the potential to make nearly $20,000. How fast you sell or what you spend in advertising is up to you.
How can the future owner improve the business?
Tons of ways -- first knowing how to modify these shopify website templates would be a huge improvement. My hands are tied with not knowing how to make changes to my own website. Actively working the SEO, adwords, social media would help - I had to give up working this business. I keep it alive by selling a few bags a week with no proactive work involved on my part. You could get affliates, others who want to sell and have me dropship, brand advocates, I have a whole marketing plan I could pass on. Just dont have time or cash to help.
What work have you put into the store?
2.5 years of sweat before I gave up - designing & manufacturing the bags, building infrastructure, marketing materials, logos, and much more. I also have design plans for future improved versions of these bags and could stay on as partner to work on adding more product once this lot is liquidated or close to it.
