I decided to start the business because I found a lack of good quality Australian made dog food available for my own pets and decided to expand on an already established online store selling pet accessories.

There is currently just over $10,000 held in stock. I used to love this little business but recently moved interstate and are now focusing on other work commitments. As much as I want to hold onto this business, with it's 2149* social media followers and 463 email subscribers, I must let it go.

Included in the sale are the online store and its inventory (some items are drop shipped), business cards, custom wrapping paper, personalised Smitten tags and stickers. It can also be a market business with banners, tableclothes, caps, dog model and bags. Also included is the domain name which was recently re-newed and is valid until 2023 as well as an email address, eBay account where I sell things at a higher cost to allow me to advise "free postage" giving me a premium position.

Pets are becoming more like children and therefore people are spending more and more on designer accessories. Also with COVID19 we have found more people shopping on-line.

How can the future owner improve the business?

A market stall would be beneficial to give the stock more exposure and impulse buying although we have seen a steady increase with on-line marketing. A social media influencer may also be beneficial.

What work have you put into the store?

I have been putting in approximately 1 hour per day, focusing on expanding the customer base. I have increased our social media followers steadily over the past 12 months and sales have increased by 184%
