Why this business was started
I've always loved fashion, technology and buying things online. So, I thought to myself, why not learn more about e-commerce, whilst doing something you love. I started my Shopify business with the aim to explore a different path, to broaden my skill set within my chosen field of Digital Marketing. I wanted to start with something familiar to me, and chose something I personally love to do -- shopping for clothes online.
The reason of selling this business
I want to sell my business as this was just something I did to learn more about the e-com industry. I'm going into a full-time MBA program in Boston and I simply won't have the time to maintain the store. I'm sad to be selling, as I put quite a lot of work into it, but with the skills I've learned from making my own, I've now been able to help other's with their stores and create some new income streams.
What's involved in running this business
It's a clothing store, focused on cozy, Fall/Winter looks as well as homeware, accessories and shoes. I think looking at trends, following influencers on Instagram to see what kind of styles they're wearing and finding them on Aliexpress, adding it to the site and making it look nice is the biggest part. I've started adding custom pages including landing pages with introductory offers. Social media is another big part, so try to keep up the strong following.

How to grow this business
I would focus on social media -- research trends, get in contact with instagram influencers and vloggers and mail them some pieces to feature.

Why use Exchange?
Exchange is the largest and fastest-growing marketplace for Shopify e-commerce stores
Verified listing data
The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.
Secure messaging platform
You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.
Encrypted payment capture
Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.
Take time to inspect the business
Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.
Safe store transfer
When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.

Once you log into your Shopify account for the first time and choose a subscription plan, Shopify Support Gurus are available 24/7 to help you with the settings of the store.
