Why this business was started

It was an experiment with a friend in 2017, we got sales, but neither of us had the time or energy to put the required work in.

The reason of selling this business

I have been hanging onto this store for over a year now, without giving it ANY attention, just because of it's potential. It still got sales! However, my life situation has now made it clear I will not have the time to do the required work to made the store a success, and so I am selling to let someone else, more motivated take over.

What's involved in running this business

You need to fulfill the orders on ali express, which takes mere minutes. You need to keep your product links up to date, periodically. And answer customer emails. Add print on demand products, it desired. This is all I did. However you should run some ads, post on the social media pages more and research more products.

General description

A drop shipping store with print on demand integration, in the meditation/ yoga niche. Many of the items are 'spiritual' or bohemian decor and accessories, for creating meditation spaces, yoga rooms, etc. The store gets sales on both the ali express items and our own made print on demand designs using Printful, all without any advertising. There are various automated email campaigns in Mail Chimp, integrated with sign up forms, and has a list of over 100 subscribers. Aftership is enabled and sends out the delivery emails. There are facebook, instagram and Pinterest pages, all neglected by me. And there is dedicated domain and email address for the business.

This store has been given ZERO attention by me in the last 18 months and still sales would trickle in based purely on customers searching google. It has so much potential but I am interested in other things and don't have the time or desire to give it the push it needs. I honestly believe that someone willing to test the audience with advertising and push the brand a bit on social media, can get this store to be profitable.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Update some of the products and add new ones. Add new print on demand designs. Use the google and facebook analytics and the mailing list to target the correct customers. Engage with social media.

What work have you put into the store?

I have created the store and all product listings and descriptions. Optimised the layout and adjusted code to improve customer engagement with button size, colour, trust seals etc. Created sign up and exit forms. Linked them to automated email campaigns, such as welcome and abandoned cart. Published to social media in the early days. Maintained good customer relations through email that has resulted in repeat customers. Added various apps to improve the site, such as After ship.
