Description

General description

Steampunk Funk was created out of an authentic passion for steampunk culture, shared by our customers and social media fans. To date the store has generated over $19,000 in sales, with an average order value exceeding $45.

Let's be honest, there's a lot of gimmick stores on Shopify Exchange, with very little history, created by shady internet marketers. This store has been successful for several years, I'm a legit US based store owner, and the numbers here are 100% authentic. You could do little to nothing with this store and it will glide to profits off the organic traction alone. If you put time into FB ads (particularly at the right time) this could continue to scale.

The store has a strong track record, and a very engaged organic following on Pinterest that has consistently led to purchases - and high profit margins between 40 - 80% on dropship inventory. I’ll teach you what I did on Pinterest to build a following, and how you can do this as well.

I've also tested FB ads and have developed a winning and profitable set of products, ads, and copy that consistently convert. In the last six months I've developed a killer strategy that led to three back to back leaps in sales growth - at a profitable ROI! With what I know now I could probably 10x sales during the Nov/Dec holiday period - I can pass that knowledge and this store to you.

Why am I selling the site? I'm taking on a new senior level job that will take 100% of bandwidth outside of my family. It's a huge promotion and I'll be working 80+ hours a week. This was a tough decision, but I'd rather sell before neglecting the site.

Note - You'll notice there was a dip in October of last year. I got married/went on a honeymoon and paused operations during that time. The following months were higher YoY then 2017, and this January was 10x higher than January 2018.

Why should someone buy this store?

  • I’ve spent a good amount of time curating products that convert, and suppliers that can be trusted. You can step into a store with a proven workflow, honed over the last two years.

  • In today's environment sketchy stores without organic traction can't succeed. We have great trust with our users due to organic chatter across various platforms (Pinterest, IG, FB). When we target users with ads, they often feel comfortable buying after researching those social media handles - that's hard to build from scratch and valuable in this environment.

  • According to Shopify, this store has traffic that is in the top 7% of stores that launched the same week as us (check the screenshot section).

  • The Pinterest page for the store is currently receiving close to 150,000 organic monthly views on Pinterest. The store has hundreds of organic "Buyable Pins” that provide an opportunity for the user to purchase directly from Pinterest, or go to the site for more information. These buyable pins will continue to generate revenue for you, with no effort on your end. Each month, the Pinterest page for the store receives close to 4,000 active engagements!

  • 100% Dropship inventory, managed via the Oberlo app. Execute orders in less than one minute.

  • Close to 10k authentic followers on Instagram that could be better monetized than what I've done.

  • Proven and profitable FB ads that convert.

How can the future owner improve the business?

Continue to invest in Facebook ads and test new products. Finding the winners is where you can really scale.

I've focused completely on Pinterest, even though we've easily built a following of 10k on Instagram. I can imagine there is more opportunity to sell products organically through Instagram Stories, or connecting a product collection to the store.

I haven't done any email marketing, even though we have a strong customer list. I suspect a new owner could drive resale business emailing old clients, particularly with any discount offers.

What work have you put into the store?

  • Huge Pinterest following, over 150K views per month and 4,000 monthly engaged users.
  • Curated a specific brand voice through an eclectic set of products that our customers love, and have been proven to convert.

  • Instagram following of close to 10k users - very engaged even though I've had little time to maintain this.

  • Strong FB pixel, audiences, and purchase data

Exchange is the largest and fastest-growing marketplace for Shopify e-commerce stores

    Verified listing data

The revenue and traffic data that you see on each listing is pulled directly from its Shopify account. This means that the data has been verified. Exchange reviews and monitors listings for thorough and accurate information.

    Secure messaging platform

You will be able to communicate with sellers via a secure messaging platform. After you log in and request information from a listing, sellers are notified and have the ability to respond. When you are ready, you can make an offer.

    Encrypted payment capture

Exchange and Escrow.com have partnered together to provide you with safe transactions that have bank encryption, making sure that payment is securely captured. Escrow.com ensures that its users pass verification checks before transactions can proceed.

Take time to inspect the business

Once you submit payment to Escrow.com and the payment has been secured, the funds are held until you confirm that all assets received are as negotiated. You can use the inspection period to ask the seller any extra questions about the business.

    Safe store transfer

When the transaction is finalized, the dedicated migration team at Exchange will begin the process of making you the new owner of the store. Buyers and sellers will be notified via an email from the Exchange team once store transfers have been completed.
