Why this business was started

I have been in the eCommerce industry for the last eight years, mainly selling on Amazon and eBay. I wanted to create my own online store to have a passive income. I was looking for a niche, which would be interesting for a broad audience. I discovered that fashion accessories and jewelry are a large and growing market. The global turnover of fashion jewelry was 278 billion (US$) in 2018 and is expected to grow to 480 billion (US$) in 2025. As I had contacts in Asia from my previous businesses, we sourced product catalogs, made packaging with our logo on, and started a business. I did not have to invest in any products. We decided to send from Asia; my supplier keeps stock or gets it directly from the manufacturers, packs it, and ships it directly. The delivery cost is cheap, and parcels typically arrive within 7-12 business days. The supplier receives my orders automatically and dispatches them within 24 hours.
