Why this business was started
I wanted to launch my own brand and create a Shopify store as a side hustle. My uncle owns a Textile factory in Syria so I had an advantage of getting great prices for the product. I launched my own brand and shipped a whole container to the U.S. I wanted to give it a shot of creating a business. But turns out its harder than I thought!
The reason of selling this business
First few months was great, the revenue was climbing and I was building a brand name and awareness. However I had not much experience in advertising and it was taking too much of my time as I was shipping all the orders by myself from the warehouse. I wasn't able to make that much profit as I expected so I didn't spend much further time on advertising and expanding the brand. I've hadn't run any ads for the past two months. So its time to take a loss and sell the business
What's involved in running this business
Traffic was generated mostly from google ads with high conversion rates. All the products and over 400+ positive reviews are approved and integrated with google merchant store. However I did not know how to scale the campaigns and did not have time to do so. I think someone who knows how to advertise and do social media can take this brand to the next level. I also currently started selling on Amazon. My brand was approved to be sold at Amazon and I have shipped a few boxes to FBA to try it out.
The product cost is very small compared to the sale cost (around 10x). So if you know how to advertise correctly, the profits are huge. Also, the inventory has appreciated 2x in value since I bought it due to cotton rising prices so your cost should be at least 2x cheaper than all the competitors.
As for fulfilling orders, I used to do it by myself. I have a warehouse near my place so I went every morning, packed the orders and dropped them to UPS. Of course, you can hire a person to fulfill the orders for you.
