Why this business was started

Started business as a side hobby and because I needed a new wallet. I realized that all of these items were things I'd buy, and were things that were available to be drop shipped from the US. All the items have a high markup. I've not had any complaints about the products. And it has been easy to run. I invested $5,000 in contests and paid ads to build the email list (over 20,000 subscribers with good engagement rate!), and have not had to do any other marketing.

The reason of selling this business

I accepted a full time position back in january. While the website really only takes about an hour a day to run, I'm cutting back on my commitments. Basically, I need to focus on my new job and my family. This was a great starter site and revenue could easily be improved by creating social sites for it.

What's involved in running this business

About an hour a day placing orders through oberlo and two other distributors answering emails. Twice a week I send emails which take about an hour to create and schedule.

    How to grow this business

    I would continue to add products to help with conversion rate and invest in social advertising. In all honesty, I've not done much with the site this year, that includes marketing and personal time investment. Someone willing to stay on top of emails, posting to social etc will definitely see the increase in profits. Another way to increase profits would be to have items shipped from out of the country.

    Skills to have

    Time management would be the best skill I could recommend. Social Media marketing would be a help, but that could easily be outsourced to an agency or a skilled upwork contractor.
