I started The Baby Section because I love all things related to baby + mama. I created the website when I was in the last months of my pregnancy and now that my newest daughter is born, I no longer have the time to dedicate to it. I was only able to finish creating the website. I just don't have enough time to market it. I'm a graphic designer by trade and spent a lot of time on the aesthetics of the website and making sure it looks polished and professional. I have set up two dropshipping Apps: Oberlo and Modalyst. I only spent time building, designing and populating the store. I have spent zero time on marketing and getting traffic. It's a gorgeous website that appeals to pregnant women and new moms. With Oberlo and Modalyst, it's easy to add new products and keep things fresh.

How can the future owner improve the business?

The future owner can market the website! If I had the time I would invest in Facebook ads, especially retargeting campaigns. Focus on building a social media presence on Instagram and Facebook. Use your audience and potentially add an affiliate program.

What work have you put into the store?

I have two kids under two years old (one being a newborn) and I have spent a lot of late nights and early mornings perfecting the look of the website, ensuring Apps like Oberlo, Modalyst, Privy (email capture), and MailChimp (send email newsletters) are set up properly, and refining the website. I've spent all the man hours needed to start the store, it's just about someone bringing in traffic. Also, at its current stage, it's easy to add more products and with the right marketing, really have the site take off. I also spent a good amount of time figuring out the perfect name and I'm sad to see it go. It's a great name, easy to say and makes perfect sense if someone asks, "hey, where did you get that?" and they reply, "The Baby Section!"
