The Deal Animal was created as an online general store. This is a drop ship business so no inventory is physically kept and all products are shipped from our suppliers in China. The Deal Animal's best selling product was by far one particular piece of lingerie, a faux leather and lace corset. Its second best selling products were rosaries which I knew how to market via facebook advertising. Marketing has been done primarily through facebook advertising and email campaigns.
With our best selling products customers were acquired for 2-10 USD through facebook advertising leaving a remaining margin of 8-25 USD depending on the product. With corsets for example, we acquired customers for 5-7 USD but would make 25 USD per sale. Rosaries, of course, are cheaper products so we would often acquire customers for 2-5 USD but would make 10-15 USD per sale depending upon the rosary.
I'm selling the business because I've been finishing my doctorate and started several another ventures. I haven't been actively advertising for several months and decided that if I'm not going to be actively generating revenue then I should sell the business.
This business is easy to run. Orders are processed through Oberlo and you do not need to personally handle inventory.
Future owner can improve the business by diversifying advertising. I was busy working on a doctorate and several other projects and didn't learn to use advertising avenues other than facebook.
I honestly can't even guess. Once it was running however it only required a couple of hours work per day between this and another online business - primarily to process orders through oberlo and respond to occasional emails from customers.
