Why this business was started
When owning my baby sensory class business I had a small stall selling sensory items. This became increasingly popular until I ended up making more on the stall then from the weekly class fees. I then put together sensory bags and sold via social medial. After realising the potential I then launched The Sensory Station in April 2020. After four months I sold the baby group business and have continued to see The Sensory station grow and flourish. We have a loyal repeat customer base. Have been featured in a celebrity run blog and had celebrity customers who have both bought from and promoted us along with 5 star reviews across the board which can be directly viewed on the website. There is huge room for growth within the business.
The reason of selling this business
A change in family circumstances has meant that I have had to take a step back and reassess my time management. I am heartbroken to let the business go as there is so much scope for growth but I just cant put the hours in to take it where I want it to go anymore and would love for it to go to someone who can.

Promotion on social media , we mainly use Instagram but also feature on TIKTOK and Facebook.

How to grow this business
-Launch international delivery - The shop has seen an increase in visitors from overseas and I regularly receive requests to send international. -Bring out a nursery décor / home range (Hanging macramé decorations, 'scandi' style accessories, baby bags) -Expand personalised range (I often do this as limited edition and it always goes well). -Introduce influencer marketing -Increase advertising expenditure -Branch out into SEND sensory products -Expand subscription box service

Ideally a knowledge of modern, Montessori style play, sensory developmental tools and methods. Social media experience, the business gains most sales via Instagram so understanding social media is important to maintain current customer base and build upon it.
