Why this business was started
I decided to start the business when I originally found the domain name. With a domain name like theshoeshelf.com, I found that it was really easy to create an effective brand. I decided to go with the dropshipping business model utilizing Oberlo to connect with Aliexpress. Aliexpress provided the variety and low prices I needed. Margins are high, and the brand potential is strong.
The reason of selling this business
In a nutshell, I do not have the time to invest in The Shoe Shelf like I originally thought I would. I still believe that the brand potential is incredibly strong. But with a full time job and a side business of digital marketing, layering The Shoe Shelf onto my time was not sustainable. I would rather sell the business to someone who has the capacity to run it than keep it and not be able to work on it. I'm confident that someone with the appropriate time will be able to scale this into a highly profitable business.
