General description

The STEM Store provides high quality educational toys that help young people learn about and build a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The STEM Store is part of a non profit organization where we support STEM programs for organizations nationwide. We have decided to sell the store in order to focus all of our time and attention on providing great programs for schools and community organizations.

We currently have a great list of customers including many schools which place institutional orders with us on a regular basis. We have a blended drop ship and stored inventory model. Because of the size of orders placed by schools, libraries and other institutional buyers these are all drop ship direct from a list of vendors that we have built a great relationship with.

We do love this store, and we would love to see it go to a person or company that is as passionate about creating diversity in STEM education as we are. There is not an immediate need to move quickly so we would really like to find a great fit, possibly with an existing retail toy, hobby, or educational store that is looking to increase their online footprint.

Other details about profit: We tend to be seasonal with our highest orders and profits falling around beginning / ending of School years and by far our largest time for sales is the holidays from October until December. We have over 6% repeat customers and we have a very loyal group of customers since our small size has made a large part of our marketing plan to provide exceptional customer service. We are also in the top 3% of stores by traffic compared to stores that opened at the same time as us.
